The 30th of April is International Jazz Day! So we thought why not get together with you and celebrate our love of Jazz!
And who better than to perform at that event than three ladies who know Jazz better than anyone I know!

Jack Critchlow is a 20 year old pop singer-songwriter and producer originally from North Yorkshire but now based in Manchester. He is currently a student at the Royal Northern College of Music, and has started gigging frequently across Manchester and London. He writes and produces all of his own music from his bedroom, and he categorises this music as his own style of funky pop. His releases have all gained thousands of Spotify streams, and have all featured on BBC Introducing. Jack has also received complimentary feedback from the head of music at Radio 2. Jack's latest single 'Taste of You' got him a live session on BBC Introducing and on BBC Radio Manchester, aswell as some great playlist placements.

I have been writing music ever since a decade ago and since then I never stopped! My music comes from real experiences I have been living since I was born. Jody has performed at many festivals across the UK which include V Festival, Lovebox, T in The Park, Park life and many more.

Meg Lee, singer/songwriter was born in Cheshire. She relocated first to Nottingham when aged 16, then subsequently to London where she gained a Performing Arts Diploma from London Theatre School.
She made her TV debut on Grange Hill, appeared in London West End shows including the acclaimed musical ‘Bright Lights Big City’, and toured with acclaimed director Mark Hedges’ show ‘Night On Broadway’ before eventually heading back up North to pursue her first choice career as a solo singer.
Jazz and blues had always been close to Meg’s heart since first hearing Ella Fitzgerald and Sarah Vaughan as a teenager -
Now, equally influenced and inspired by contemporary voices such as Melody Gardot and Madeline Peyroux, she embarked on a spell of intense live work, becoming a regular headliner at jazz venues around the North West, carving out a loyal following.
Meg’s work stays true to those jazz origins but is injected with a contemporary pop sensibility.
It comes as no surprise that she has shared stages with acts as diverse as Ruby Turner, Rudimental and Pixie Lott.
She released her debut album “Meet Me” in 2018. Working with producer, multi instrumentalist and co-writer Nigel Stonier (whose productions and collaborations include Clare Teal, Thea Gilmore and The Waterboys)
Meg also released her 3 track seasonal EP “Wintertime Thing”.
Her music is like it could have been written at anytime in the last 50 years - and Meg is confident in her style "reflecting that mix of the old and the new that’s my musical style’.

Harriet's piano and vocal training began whilst she was in primary school, and has since trained in various styles/genres including pop, rock, classical, jazz, country and soul.
Alongside her singing/piano Harriet is a second year student at Manchester School of Acting and teaches performing arts at a local children’s theatre school.

Jack Critchlow is a 20 year old pop singer-songwriter and producer originally from North Yorkshire but now based in Manchester. He is currently a student at the Royal Northern College of Music, and has started gigging frequently across Manchester and London. He writes and produces all of his own music from his bedroom, and he categorises this music as his own style of funky pop. His releases have all gained thousands of Spotify streams, and have all featured on BBC Introducing. Jack has also received complimentary feedback from the head of music at Radio 2. Promising a night of exceptional performances, weaving diverse influences from bebop to contemporary jazz. US Guitar Legend Sid Jacobs teams with upcoming UK guitarist Tom Remon on a UK tour playing original music and some jazz standards.
Acclaimed guitarist Sid Jacobs began his music journey in Miami Beach. After moving to Los Angeles he developed the curriculum for the Advanced Bebop and Jazz Guitar course at the world-famous Dick Grove School and the Musicians Institute (MI and GIT), where he continues to teach. From his early fascination with the guitar at the age of 7 to becoming the youngest faculty member at the University of Nevada. Sid has performed with some of the most acclaimed jazz musicians worldwide including but not only Brad Mehldau, Eddie Harris, Larry Goldings, Harold Land, Joe Diorio and Javon Jackson. Jacobs has left an indelible mark on the jazz scene.
Tom Remon is a Jazz guitarist on the rise from North London and an Alumni of the legendary Tomorrow's Warriors Artist development programme. Tom has performed with some of the UKs most esteemed jazz musicians including Neil Yates, Soweto Kinch, Jonathan Gee, Denys Baptise, Shaney Forbes and Steve Williamson. Tom has three records under his name as a leader including a debut album with UK jazz legend Jim Mullen entitled Duality. Tom has extensively toured the UK and Europe with MOBO award-nominated Irish jazz drummer David Lyttle in a guitar/drums duo project.

Nova is a singer/songwriter born and raised right here in Manchester.
After having started out training as a classical Soprano for 10 years, during her year abroad to study music in Perugia, Italy, she fell in love with Jazz and the world around it.
Nova’s musical career spans many genres, starring also in several stage shows including Pirates of Penzance and The Sound of Music. Her talent and range are for sure impressive, allowing her to shine in many different areas of the performing arts.
Nova is quickly building a name as one of Manchester’s most exciting voices, particularly in the worlds of Jazz, Blues, and Soul.
Her unique and mesmerising tone, born out of her classical training, adds a distinct and mesmerising flavour to each of the classics she brings into her impressive and ever-growing repertoire.

Kelley Tigerheart is a South African singer who resides in Cheshire. She is a full-time musician, travelling venues and pubs around the UK, covering many genres and eras and can cover all of your favourite party hits to get you dancing along!
She has also recently put together a themed speakeasy show consisting of jazz covers of pop songs as well as some familiar jazz favourites just for The Fitz!
Kelley thrives on audience interaction and having fun on stage so make sure you bring your best vocals and your dancing shoes!

Sara Leanne is a professional jazz singer based in Manchester. She performs regularly at some of the top venues around the UK and runs her own jazz ensemble, Smoke & Honey. Sara's repertoire ranges from Ella Fitzgerald and Etta James to Eva Cassidy and Norah Jones.
