Tom Remon & Neil Yates

Tom Remon is a guitarist who cut his teeth with the Tomorrow’s Warriors, and made an impressive debut recording with UK jazz hero guitarist, Jim Mullen. Tom has also recorded and performed Dr. Neil Yates, Jonathan Gee, Steve Williamson, Sid Jacobs, Denys Baptiste, Nat Steele & Gary Crosby, and is currently signed to the independent label Lunaria Records.

"As well as being a band leader and top level jazz multi-instrumentalist, Neil has worked sessions with The Brand New Heavies, Supergrass, Black Grape, Lighthouse Family, Alison Moyet, Will Young, Raw Stylus, Suggs, Matt Bianco and Robbie Williams.

He is now much in demand as a composer and arranger, receiving large scale commissions, including an hour long suite for brass called “Sketches of a Northern Town” and an antiphonal suite for jazz orchestra entitled “Surroundings”*nominated for British Composers Award 2011.

He also created “Undivided” – a suite for jazz orchestra and ceilidh band which premiered at Glasgow Royal Concert Hall as part of Celtic Connections 2015"
